Solstice season is upon us…
The powerful energies of the Winter and Summer Solstice shine upon us every year. These cosmic frequencies influence our moods and breath in fresh life, providing momentum, reflection and inspiration.
If you live in the Northern Hemisphere, June 20th is the date to remember for the Summer Solstice which offers us the opportunity to activate peak levels of Yang energy. Alternatively, if your home is in the Southern Hemisphere, you will be experiencing the effects of Winter Solstice which promotes maximum levels of Yin energy.
In nature, everything always fluctuates between Yin and Yang. Yin energy is passive, restful, relaxed, cold, and dark. Yang energy, on the other hand, is active, energized, hot and light. During the night Yin energy is strong and in the day Yang energy is dominant.
Healing is all about balance. When we are living in harmony, these opposite energies flow through us in a healthy, balanced way.
Interestingly, Yang correlates with male and Yin is linked with female. However, the truth beyond the stereotype is that we all contain Yin and Yang energies and the strength of each depends on the individual.
