What is Clairsentience?
Clairsentience is your ability to feel and read energy through the feelings and sensations that arise in your body. You already have this ability! If you’ve ever spent time with someone in a bad mood, and noticed that you felt grumpy after hanging out with them, you successfully sensed their feelings. We are emotional beings vibrating at the frequency of our emotions, and we easily pick up the vibrations of other people’s feelings even when we’re not aware of it.
Why would you want to develop this ability? For two reasons:
- Clairsentience can help you make decisions that are in alignment with you by using your body as a compass. The body always knows what’s best for you.
- Clairsentience can help you understand how someone else in your life is feeling, which helps you develop compassion.
How to Use Clairsentience to Make Decisions
Let’s say you’re trying to decide between two or more different career paths.
Close your eyes, and imagine that you choose Career Path A. What happens in your body? Your body will either feel energized and excited, or drained and tired. This can be subtle.
Then, do the same for Career Path B. One of these two will feel less stressful, and your body will breathe easier when you imagine doing one of them. Even when neither option is perfect, one of them will usually feel less stressful than the other. That’s your body’s way of telling you what the best option is at this time.
How to Use Clairsentience to Figure Out How Someone Else is Feeling
We are all connected. There is no place where you start and something else begins. In this way, we are truly all One. This is why it’s possible to sense other people’s energy.
Let’s say you’re having trouble relating to someone’s behavior, and you’re trying to figure out what they’re feeling. Close your eyes, and use your imagination to merge with their energy. Project yourself into their space, imagine that their body is yours, and then silently ask, “What is this person feeling (regarding the situation you’re asking about)?” And then, notice how YOUR body feels. Take note of any emotions or sensations. You might feel anxiety, sadness, or fear. This is a clue about how they are feeling.
You can practice this with strangers in the beginning. When you’re in a crowded place, choose one person and imagine what it’s like to be them. Imagine merging with their energy, and notice how your body feels. This exercise will help you feel more connected to the world around you. Over time, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of how people feel in your environment, and that can help you be of service to them in the best possible way.
