Astrology – Correlating To Archetypal Principles
Much like numerology, astrology is a very personalized tool unique to each individual. Astrology is the science of the stars and planets in relationship to the time and location you were born. Each planet correlates to certain archetypal principles, such as love, service, leadership, teaching, communication…
The signs also correlate to these archetypal energies, as do the houses, but each in slightly different ways. An easy way to think of the planets, signs and houses is like this:
- The Planets are the archetypal ‘actors’ of your inner psyche.
- The Sign each planet is in is the clothing they are wearing.
- The House each planet is in is the stage on which they are performing.
- The Aspects between two planets are the kind of relationship they have with each other.
So if you’ve got Venus, the archetypal goddess of love, beauty and finances in Virgo, the sign of Service and organized thought, in the 9th House of travel and higher education, you might be someone who loves to work with a charity (Virgo) that helps people in foreign lands (9th house) create stable incomes (Venus) through selling their beautiful crafts (Venus). Add to this a harmonious aspect between Venus and Mars (leadership and initiating projects) and you might be the one who spearheads the entire organization!
As you can see, there’s a lot more to astrology than what you’ll find in a newspaper’s daily horoscope. A true natal chart takes into account how each of the planets and signs relate to one another, thus decoding your unique life experience. The other heavenly bodies included in a full astrological reading are:
- Sun
- Moon
- Mercury
- Venus
- Mars
- Jupiter
- Saturn
- Uranus
- Neptune
- Pluto
Sometimes Chiron, the Nodes of the Moon and certain asteroids are also examined in the context of an astrological reading.
You’ll find there’s an incredible synergy between your astrology chart and your numerology profile, with one system helping to clarify the other. When you use both tools together, you expand the guidance and clarity of each.

All colors, numbers, crystals, and signs contain vibrational and archetypal information for you. Whether you are attracted to or repelled by them will determine how much you need to work with particular energies at different times in your life. So if you feel strong resistance to a certain color, it may illustrate an area of growth or missing quality within you. A quality that, at some point, you may be required to develop further.
