What Does The Name You Use Reveal About You?
Some schools of Numerology consider the “Everyday Name” to be as important in the study of personality as the Expression, or the Given Name. It is a useful tool for understanding the way you present yourself, as well as your personality, interaction style and obvious challenges, because it’s about how you choose to be seen by the world. It also represents how others will respond to the thoughts, words and deeds you project into the world.
The Everyday Name is the name you use most often in your contacts and communication with others; the name you are usually recognized by. You might not know whether a female friend called Jo has a Given Name of Joanne or Josephine. In some cases, the Everyday Name may appear on driver’s licenses or credit cards, bills etc. instead of the Given Name. Many women are known by their married name and not their maiden name – sometimes by everyone except their parents.
Sometimes the Everyday Name is the same as the given name, with the middle name left out. Sometimes it’s Bob instead of Robert. The calculation is simple in any case; just write down the Everyday Name, separating the first from the last, and find the sums of the different names that make it up.
Many people in show business are known only by their Everyday Name, so let’s use a celebrity example to find out how to use this interesting chart element:
.
Most readers are probably aware of Mr. Washington’s many awards, but few know him by his Given Name. His Everyday Name, however, appears in the press and on billboards and marquees around the world; a first name of 3 and a last name of 4, gives his Everyday Name a value of 7. Adding his middle name to find the Expression, or Given Name number, would bring the result to 3+22+4 = 29, 2+9 = 11.
Denzel, whether playing a “good guy” or a “bad guy”, most often portrays a character driven by something bigger than himself. Often he portrays a loner or an expert – someone capable of solving the problem inherent in the plot. All of this is very consistent with the Everyday Name vibration of 7. Vibration 7 has great influence over his personal life as well – being deeply religious, he has considered being a preacher. He has said that he gets his chance to preach through the many roles he plays of extraordinary men, both fictional and real. Most will notice the two prominent Master Numbers, 22 and 11, that appear in his Expression, or total name number.
His Given Name has 22 as a middle name value and an Expression of 11. Interestingly, a huge number of “stars” both in front and behind the cameras and stage lights have 22 in a prominent position in their charts. As far as 11 goes, just think of how many inspirational stories he has starred in, and how many inspired men he has played.
This aspect of name analysis works with whichever system of Numerology you choose to use, and is well worth exploring in order to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others.
