This week’s theme is PERFECTION and the chakra we are focusing on for healing is the 1st chakra, located at the base of the spine and it is the color RED.
Our affirmation is: ‘I LOVE AND APPROVE OF MYSELF AND OTHERS.’
Alienation
Being a perfectionist can be a very lonely road because it tends to alienate others in our life. Perfectionism begins with being incredibly hard on yourself which may stem from a deep desire to be loved. A person tends to put limits on themselves such as I can’t be loved unless I’m a certain weight or I won’t be successful until I have the perfect career. And the list goes on and on and on.
Perfectionistic people tend to set a high standard and when others can’t live up to that they become impatient and are quick to end the relationship and walk away. It can be difficult to make and keep friends. When we can accept ourselves where we are with what we have we actually begin to manifest the reality we desire. A reality filled with love, self-respect and joy instead of fear, self-loathing and depression.
Living a life of unrealistic expectations from yourself and others is like living in a glass house that can shatter at any moment. Remember what’s important in your life. Surviving struggles and challenges in your life molds and shapes you into a more compassionate person. Perfectionism is overrated and the ego’s attempt to keep you imprisoned in the story of the mind.
Judgments
If you are a perfectionist be careful of spending a lot of time judging others. This week you are invited to pay attention to being overly critical of others as well of yourself. Try to catch yourself when you put people down (or yourself) or speak negatively of someone else. This may include gossip or hearsay.
The high standard you set for yourself can tend to isolate you from loving friendships and deepening relationships with others. If you are feeling alone or abandoned by others it might be because you are disconnected from yourself. Take the time to truly love all of your glory and goodness along with your mistakes and mishaps.
Judgments create much negative karma in your reality for when we judge others we are actually judging ourselves. As Mathew 7:12 reminds us “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and “Love your neighbor as yourself.” When we do this we become the change we wish to see in the world instead of perpetuating hurt and hatred.
Transformation Ahead
As you take these truths deep into your heart, feel the shift in your awareness begin to open up and allow the beautiful transformation to occur. This week we are blessed with a FULL MOON and the richness of letting go of the person we no longer want to be and choosing again. Perfectionism isn’t a disease. You don’t need medication to heal it, you only need awareness and a desire to step out of the limits you have placed on yourself and others and step into freedom and total acceptance of all that is.
“I Love & Accept the People in My Life” Meditation
Take a nice deep breath and close your eyes (if you’re able).
I want you to take a moment to call in your Spiritual Team to assist you in this healing today. Breathe into their love and their light as they show up for you here.
Now I want you to allow the people in your life to pop into your mind one-by-one and as they do I want you to find something good about that person. Compliment them. For some you may need to dig deep, but for each focus on 1 good thing.
Move through your family, friends, coworkers, boss, neighbors, acquaintances, strangers etc…
Keep going until people stop popping into your head.
Then pause for 1 full minute breathing deeply and completely.
And now ask your Spiritual Team to release them all into the light sending them on their way with blessings of love.
Next, turn to yourself.
I want you to think about 3 things you like about yourself today. Some days are easier than others but no matter what it is say 3 nice things to yourself.
Repeat after me 3X:
I love and approve of myself & others.
I love and approve of myself & others.
I love and approve of myself & others.
And so it is.
Take a deep breath and come back into the room feeling absolutely amazing in every way.
This meditation is going to help you heal and clear any blockages in that 1st root chakra this week.
Question of the Week
Are you being too hard on yourself?
This week I want you to really become conscious of how nice or how mean you are to YOURSELF. Do you fill yourself with love and blessings each day? Or are you busy being critical and judgmental beating yourself up over every little thing?
Being conscious of what we say to ourselves in our mind is the first step to changing the person we are and becoming the person we desire. It is possible to find peace and live the happiest version of yourself but you can’t change what you can’t see. Open your eyes and see how loving you are to yourself or how condemning you may be.
I give you permission to be kind and gentle on yourself because you deserve to have a safe place to fall.
Go ahead, drop a comment or answer the question below. I always circle back and would love to hear from you.
