Our intuition is our ability to sense or feel things before they happen or instinctively know the answer or solution without having any tangible proof or reasoning. This ‘gut reaction’ or ‘gut feeling’ is often something that is inexplicable, we can’t put our finger on why we think or feel a certain way, we just do. And it’s our mind’s eye (or our third eye chakra) that helps us see these things subconsciously.
But when our third eye chakra is closed, our ability to hear our inner voice is stunted.
Do you want to be able to hear your inner voice more clearly so you can understand your TRUE Soul Purpose? Well, firstly, you need to consider the state of your third eye chakra.
Is your third eye chakra blocked?
Your 6th energy center is responsible for receiving intuitive information that is above the realm of the factual world. If it is closed then you may be experiencing one or more of these symptoms: headaches, moodiness, over-intellectualizing, poor memory and imagination, fatigue, over sensitivity to smells, excessive talking and requiring more alone time.
When your third eye is open, you can experience many benefits which can include, intuitive knowing, excellent memory, empathetic relationships, deep wisdom, open-mindedness, perception, vivid dreams, mental strength and deep meditative awareness.
10 Steps to Activate Your Third Eye Chakra & Enhance Your Intuition
Do you want to activate your intuitive powers so you can receive information more clearly? Here are my top ten tips for powerful ways to re-balance and activate your third eye chakra:
1. Relax into Alpha
Meditation can be beneficial for almost anything in life, including helping you access intuition.
People with third eye blocks can over-use the analytical mind to help process the energetic build up of the mind. Over-analyzing can never replace the type of direct knowing you can receive from the third eye chakra. Attempt to move away from over thinking and stay in a more neutral, open state where you will be ready to receive intuitive information by leaving an overactive mind and focusing on your breath.
2. Enjoy Alone Time In Nature
Relaxing in nature, away from technology and the cognitive mind’s other temptations can open up the kind of intuition we needed when we as a species lived outdoors and relied upon it to keep us safe from the elements, predators, and other true fear dangers. Honor your need to go within to recharge — there is nothing wrong with supporting your health by taking lots of downtime in between work or social engagements.
3. Observe Your Body Talk
Your intuition communicates through your body so the more you cultivate somatic awareness, the more attuned you become. See if you get an uncomfortable physical feeling when you’re trying to make a decision. This could be merely the result of stress responses brought on by false fear, but it could also be your intuition trying to alert you to something.
4. Get Creative
Engaging in colorful, creative activities, such as drawing, painting, or journaling quiets the cognitive mind and turns the volume up on your intuition. Trust the forms of creative expression which inspire you the best more and dedicate part of your day to exploring it further.
5. Trust Spontaneous Insights
Intuition arrives in many different forms. For some, it is very physical, for others, it is auditory or visual (in the form of seeing auras or other energetic information) but it can also come to us as a deep knowing.
6. Monitor Your Dreams
Observe what comes up for you when you are asleep. Often messages are received in your dream state so keep a dream journal by the side of your bed and set the intention to remember your dreams or nightmares when you wake up. Make this the first thing you do upon waking in the morning otherwise you may forget as the conscious mind kicks in.
Rebalance Your Pituitary & Pineal Glands
The pineal gland regulates your circadian rhythm and helps your brain enter the meditation state easier by the alpha state of consciousness.
8. Avoid Fluoride
Fluoride can calcify the pineal gland which effects intuitive function. Fluoride is found in our water system as well as in toothpaste. Skin is our largest organ; turning on the hot water opens pores and allows the fluoride into the bloodstream, circulating onto the pineal gland.
9. Use Vibrational Remedies
The third-eye Chakra, or the Ajna, is the area to concentrate on for heightened intuitive abilities. Up the intensity of tuning by incorporating the color indigo around the home and office, carrying or wearing healing crystals (such as a lapis lazuli, fluorite, amethyst, or quartz), flower essences (such as Bush Iris, Yellow Cowslip Orchid or Angelsword), or organic essential oils (such as Frankincense or Rose).
10. Introduce A Non-Competitive Exercise.
Releasing competitive energy that drains you will allow you to remain open to healing intuitive energy flow. There are lots of energy practices and physical exercises that you can do to stay in an open and ready mental state. You can try, Tai Chi, Qigong, walking, meditation or yoga. Discover a routine that uplifts you the most and make it a part of your daily routine.
Have a think about it and then leave a few comments below. Which of these rituals are you already doing and where is there room for improvement?
